Eczema is a hereditary tendency to experience immediate allergic reactions, because of the presence of an antibody (atopic regain) in the skin and sometimes in the bloodstream.
This skin condition is characterised by intense itching and has been treated in many ways over the years. Despite the attention received, there is no recognised ‘cure’ for the condition.
Green Dispensary’s Eczema Cream includes vitamin B12 along with the moisturising and soothing properties of avocado oil and allantoin for the treatment of eczema. It is applied twice daily on affected skin. This cream may be appropriate for long-term therapy as it does not contain corticosteroids.
Vitamin B12 inhibits the production of inflammatory substances called cytokines and can trap nitric oxide, which triggers itching and inflammation. Avocado oil contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B5, D, E, protein, lecithin and fatty acids to assist healthy skin repair whilst allantoin hydrates and protects the skin barrier.
Green Dispensary’s Eczema Cream is coloured pink by the vitamin B12, and is well absorbed by the skin. In the event that clothing becomes slightly stained, the colour is easily removed during a normal washing cycle.
